American soprano Tamara Wilson is garnering international recognition for her interpretations of Verdi, Mozart, Strauss and Wagner, and has received the prestigious Richard Tucker Award. Other recent accolades include an Olivier Award nomination and the Grand Prize in the annual Francisco Viñas Competition. She sang, among others, Leonora in Il Trovatore (Lyric Opera of Chicago), Desdemona in Otello (Canadian Opera Company), the title role in Ariadne auf Naxos (Teatro alla Scala) and Chrysothemis in Elektra (Opernhaus Zürich). Wilson makes her DNO debut in 2022 with Turandot.
