Enter the world of Frida!
It’s time for a new Flirt XL edition! Experience Frida Kahlo’s turbulent world through dance and colour. The Flirt XL will take place on Wednesday 7 February during Frida’s dress rehearsal at Dutch National Opera & Ballet.
Flirt XL tickets cost € 10 and are only for visitors aged 16 to 35.

‘Breathtaking explosion of colour’. That is how Theaterkrant described the world premiere of Annabelle Lopez Ochoa’s Frida, in 2020. The production, which is now in demand internationally, tells the life story of one of the most intriguing artists of the twentieth century: the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo. Along with designer Dieuweke van Reij and composer Peter Salem, Lopez Ochoa made the magic of Kahlo’s world tangible in her ballet.

Our discounts and special events in the theatre for young people aged 16 years and over make visiting our performances a no-brainer.
My Muse & Me
My Muse & Me is Dutch National Opera & Ballet’s youth label! For just € 20 a year, members receive fantastic discounts (up to 75%) on selected opera and ballet performances at Dutch National Opera & Ballet. They also benefit from last-minute discounts on other performances, invitations to activities around the performances, an introduction to the art form, and the opportunity to meet other young people who share their love for opera and ballet.
Discount for students
Students can go to a performance for only €19, regardless of which price category is ordered! Provided the performance is not sold out, you can buy tickets on the day of the performance from 13:00 via our online ticket system. For some performances, we are already giving students the opportunity to book with student discounts.
