LIMITED EDITION! SALE HAS STARTED

Dutch National Opera & Ballet started on 6 June with the sale of a limited edition of approximately 1000 handmade mouth masks. The masks are made with love from home by coupeurs from the costume department of the theater. Original (residual) fabrics from nine different opera productions were used for this, including Die Zauberflöte, Cosi fan Tutte, La Forza del Destino, Porgy and Bess and Rigoletto. The masks are made according to the RIVM rules and are suitable for traveling by public transport. The proceeds will go to the Dutch National Opera & Ballet Fund.

Earlier, the costume department made mouth masks intended for use in healthcare. As a production house, the theater has the expertise and materials and, due to the situation surrounding the coronavirus, also temporarily has the manpower to work on this. The mouth masks are washable, breathable and available in ten different prints. They are offered for € 14.95 each (excluding shipping costs).

The proceeds from the sale will go entirely to the Dutch National Opera & Ballet Fund. If you buy a mask, you support the development of alternative artistic programming until the moment that the regular programming in Dutch National Opera & Ballet can be started again. The theater collaborates with young singing and dancing talent and young makers.
