Jesús Iglesias Noriega

The Spaniard Jesús Iglesias Noriega (head of artistic affairs) studied at the universities of Oviedo and Madrid. He started his career in 1995 with Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires as assistant to the artistic director, following which he worked in the communication department until 1997. In 1997, he was appointed assistant to the artistic director of Teatro Real in Madrid. From January 2002, Jesús Iglesias Noriega worked with Teatro Real as head of artistic affairs. Iglesias Noriega was a member of the jury at major international singing competitions, such as Iris Adami Corradetti (Padova), the Elardo International Opera Competition (Bruges) and the International Singing Contest ‘Francisco Viñas’ (Barcelona).

In May 2012, he was appointed head of artistic affairs at Dutch National Opera.
