Guanqun Yu

Soprano Guanqun Yu is a regular guest at many opera houses in Europe and The United States. She is a true veteran in several major Mozart roles such as Vitellia in La clemenza di Tito, Elettra in Idomeneo, Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte and Donna Anna in Don Giovanni. She has also sung Leonora in Verdi’s Il trovatore at the Metropolitan Opera New York, the Los Angeles Opera and the Teatro Comunale di Bologna. She also sung the role of Desdemona in Verdi’s Otello at the Palau de les Arts Valencia, the Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Hamburg State Opera. She also portrayed the role of Mimì in Puccini’s La Bohème at Opernhaus Zürich and the Bayerische Staatsoper. Moreover, she has sung the role of Liù in Puccini’s Turandot at the Metropolitan Opera, Opéra national de Paris, Staatsoper Hamburg and at the Bregenz Festival. DNO debut
