Krzysztof Pastor is making space for new generations

Krzysztof Pastor: ‘I am grateful to have had the opportunity to live in the Netherlands and work for Dutch National Ballet first as a dancer and later as a choreographer for over 30 years. Now understanding an artistic director’s freedom of vision and choice, I decided to liberate the post of resident choreographer of Dutch National Ballet making space for new generations.’

Ted Brandsen, directeur van Het Nationale Ballet: ‘Krzysztof and I grew up together as choreographers as it were. I have great admiration for his work and what he has accomplished over the years. He has also strongly contributed to the artistic development of the Dutch National Ballet and his work will remain on the repertoire of the company. Despite our now less intertwined connection, Krzysztof will always remain a part of  Dutch National Ballets family.
