Festive opening of the season

Explore places you've never seen before, enter doors that are usually kept closed... During the Open House, we warmly invite you to step inside the entire theatre and the Production Workshop in Amsterdam Zuidoost. Immerse yourself in the captivating world behind our screens, participate in workshops, enjoy a variety of performances and catch a sneak peek of our upcoming productions.

Route backstage
To discover all treasures of Dutch National Opera & Ballet you can follow a route through our world backstage. Explore new places and ask our colleagues all your questions!

Activities for all ages
From an open ballet class to singing along with the women’s chorus, and from a workshop on receiving applause to an auction of the most unique props. On the stage, in Studio Boekman, and in the Theatre Café, you can experience a wide variety of activities as well as admire various performances and rehearsals by our singers and dancers.

Activities for children
In addition, there are six singing and dancing workshops specifically for children in the Souterrain. They can also enjoy crafting, exploring, and following a treasure hunt.

Production Workshop
You can also visit our Production Workshop (Kollenbergweg 1, Amsterdam) from 11:00 to 16:00. Follow the route and discover how our immense sets are created!

The route through the theatre is wheelchair accessible; there are elevators to take you from one floor to another.

Admission to the Open House is free. All tickets for the Open House are sold out at the moment. Please join the waiting list below to be notified when more tickets are released.
