10. What in case of photography, video and registrations?
Photography and video
We occasionally take photographs or record videos in our theatre, for instance in the foyer – during an event, or before or after a performance – or in the theatre hall during a performance. The images are for archival or promotional purposes. They can be published on the websites and/or social media channels of Dutch National Opera & Ballet or its partners. Your privacy is important to us. If you would rather not have your face appear in any images, please speak to the photographer or videographer before the performance or the event. Alternatively, you can reach out to one of our front of house staff. We will do our best to respect your wishes.
Note: this applies to photographs and videos taken or commissioned by Dutch National Opera & Ballet and/or its staff only. Please be aware that we have no control over photographs or videos taken by your fellow patrons or others.
Video recordings of performances
Our performances are recorded on video from time to time. While we do not intentionally focus on audience members, it is possible that your face will appear in the background of our recordings. If you prefer not to be in any videos, please send an email telling us that you wish to opt out to klantenservice@operaballet.nl before the performance. If we plan to record a performance on video, we will notify you of this in the ticket-buying process to avoid any surprises during your theatre experience.
