Rufus Didwiszus

Set designer

The German set designer Rufus Didwiszus studied set and costume design in Stuttgart with Jürgen Rose. He designs sets for theatre, opera and dance, and regularly works with such directors as Barrie Kosky, Thomas Ostermeier and Christian Stückl, and choreographers including Christian Spuck, Sasha Waltz and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. His work has been seen at venues including the Salzburg Festival, Zurich Opera House, Komische Oper Berlin, Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, the Paris Opera, Vienna State Opera, the Royal Opera House in London and the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence. He made his debut at Dutch National Opera with the production of Tosca in 2022.
