The American tenor Joshua Guerrero is one of the stars of his generation. He was a prize-winner in the prestigious Operalia competition in 2014. Since then, his performances have included Rodolfo in La bohème, Des Grieux in Manon, Gabriele Adorno in Simon Boccanegra and Nemorino in L’elisir d’amore. He has appeared on the stages of such opera houses as Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Royal Opera House in London, Lyric Opera of Chicago and the Paris Opera. In 2022, he made his house and role debut in this production of Tosca at Dutch National Opera, returning later in the roles of Luigi in Il tabarro and Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi. He will be back in Amsterdam later this season, singing Gabriele Adorno in Simon Boccanegra.

Joshua Guerrero will sing the role of Mario Cavaradossi in Tosca at Dutch National Opera & Ballet between 3 and 25 September 2025. From 4 to 28 June 2026, he returns to Amsterdam as Gabriele Adorno in Simon Boccanegra.
