Bibi Ortjens

Bibi Ortjens (1996, Maastricht) studied at the Conservatorium Maastricht with Frans Kokkelmans, where she recently received her Bachelor's degree, cum laude with distinction, and is also pursuing her Master's degree at the moment.

In productions of the Conservatorium Maastricht, she sang the roles Fiorella (Les Brigands, Offenbach), Erste Dame (Die Zauberflöte) and Blumenmädchen (Parsifal). At the end of 2019, she made her debut  with Opera Zuid as Erste Knabe in Die Zauberflöte. In 2018, Bibi won 1st prize as a song duo at the Festival Vocallis for her performance of the Sieben Frühe Lieder (Berg). Last winter semester, she studied at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien with soprano Uta Schwabe.

This spring she will sing the role of Gianetta in L’elisir d’amore.
