French soprano Julie Fuchs has established herself as one the most exciting opera singers of her generation. Winner of three Victoires de la Musique awards, and Chevalier de l'ordre des Arts et des Lettres, her repertoire ranges from baroque to contemporary music with a focus on Mozart and bel canto heroines. Fuchs has sung important roles across the world’s most important opera houses, such as the Wiener Staatsoper, Teatro Real Madrid and Opéra national de Paris. Moreover, she performed the title roles of L'incoronazione di Poppea at Opernhaus Zürich, Mélisande in Pelléas et Mélisande at Gran Teatre del Liceu and Adèle in Le Comte Ory at the Opéra Comique. In season 22/23, Fuchs makes important role debuts, such as Giulietta in I Capuleti e i Montecchi at the Opéra national de Paris and Juliette in Roméo et Juliette at Opernhaus Zürich. Her performance of Cleopatra in Dutch National Opera’s Giulio Cesare is both her role and house debut.
