Alessandro Carletti
Lighting designer
The Italian lighting designer Alessandro Carletti regularly collaborates with Damiano Michieletto. His lighting designs have been seen for example in Il trittico (Theater an der Wien), Don Carlo (Vienna State Opera), Un ballo in maschera (Teatro alla Scala), Cavalleria rusticana (Teatro San Carlo, Naples) and Nabucco (Festival Verdi, Parma). He received the 2015 Knight of Illumination Award for his work in Guillaume Tell (Royal Opera in London). At Dutch National Opera, he was previously involved in Il viaggio a Reims (2014), Rigoletto (2017) and Animal Farm (2023).
Alessandro Carletti designed the lighting for Rigoletto, which will be performed from 2 to 29 September 2024 at Dutch National Opera.
