He has also directed Verdi's Requiem (Basel), Der Wildschütz, Der Freischütz and Die Zauberflöte (Cologne), Rigoletto (Hamburg), La traviata and Macbeth (Leipzig), Orfeo ed Euridice (Geneva, Barcelona and Lyon), Le nozze di Figaro en La fanciulla del West (Tokyo), Idomeneo, Arabella, Manon Lescaut, Roméo et Juliette en Königskinder (Bayerische Staatsoper München), Tannhäuser (Théâtre du Châtelet, Paris) and Turandot (Semperoper Dresden). With the Komische Oper Berlin he directed Falstaff, L'amour des trois oranges and Die lustige Witwe. In the 2002-2003 season he succeeded Harry Kupfer as chief director of the Komische Oper and in the 2003-2004 season he became an intendant. Since then, Homoki has directed Die verkaufte Braut, Der Zwerg/ Eine florentinische Tragödie, Jevgeni Onjegin, Der Rosenkavalier, Mahagonny and La bohème, among others. Andreas Homoki has been the director of the Opernhaus Zürich since 2012 and has staged there, among other things: The flourishing Holländer, Lady Macbeth of Mzensk, Fidelio, Juliette, Lohengrin, Luisa Miller, Wozzeck, My Fair Lady, I puritani, Medée, the Land of Lächelns and Lunea.
