Barbara Wittebol

Barbara Wittebol studied Theatre, Film and Television Studies with a specialisation in arts policy and management at Utrecht University. Prior to that, she graduated from Dansacademie Brabant (now Fontys Hogeschool) as a teacher of classical dance and jazz dance. Barbara has been working in the cultural field since 1996 and has gained extensive experience in both the commercial and subsidised sectors. Among other things, she was executive producer and production director responsible for producing large-scale musicals at Stage Entertainment, worked as business manager at Theatergroep Max. and was director of Kunst Centraal, the provincial organisation for cultural education in the province of Utrecht. Since September 2024, Barbara, as head of the Production & Stage Management of Dutch National Opera & Ballet, leads the team that plays an important role in the creation of opera and ballet productions.
