Barrie Kosky
Barrie Kosky, who has Australian and German roots, is hugely in demand as a director of opera and theatre. His productions have played at the Vienna State Opera, the Royal Opera House in London, Zurich Opera House, the Paris Opera, Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, and the Salzburger Festspiele and Festival d’Aix-en-Provence. In the 2021/22 season, Kosky returned to Amsterdam for a three-year Puccini cycle, of which Il trittico is the culmination. He was also responsible for the production of Agrippina earlier this season at Dutch National Opera. In November 2023, Barrie Kosky won Best Director at the International Opera Awards.
