Ben Baur
Ben Baur studied at the Berlin School of the Arts. His work as a set and costume designer brought him to many leading theatres and opera houses in Europe, including the Deutsches Theater Berlin, Staatsoper Stuttgart, Opernhaus Zurich, Opéra royal du château de Versailles, Staatsoper Hamburg, Semperoper Dresden, the Royal Opera House in London and Burgtheater Wien. Baur has worked with Jetske Mijnssen for many years. He also created the set design for her Anna Bolena and Maria Stuarda, the first and second part of the Tudor Trilogy. At Dutch National Opera, he was also previously responsible for the set design of Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier.
In April-May 2024, Ben Baur returns for the third and final part of the Tudor trilogy, Roberto Devereux.
