Agris Hartmanis

The Latvian bass-baritone Agris Hartmanis began his music studies at the Latvian Jāzeps Vītols Music Academy under the guidance of Anita Garanča. He has sung the title role in Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro and Don Alfonso in Così fan tutte by the same composer. He also sang the role of Fiorello in Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia, in which he made his debut at the Latvian National Opera. He has also sung in Die lustige Witwe, Ariadne auf Naxos and Stockhausen's aus LICHT, among others. Since 2017, he has been a regular guest in The Chorus of Dutch National Opera. In the same year, he made his DNO debut in The New Prince by composer Mohammed Fairouz.
