Isa Trejo

Mezzo-soprano Isa Trejo studied at the College of Music in Mexico City and at the Utrecht Conservatory. Over the years, she has worked with Dobrinka Yankova, Gemma Visser, Susan Young, Nicoletta Olivieri, Janet Williams, Aldert Vermeulen, and many others.

In 2007, Isa received the award for ‘Best Interpretation of Mexican Music’ at the Maritza Alemán Singing Competition. She then participated in the Talent Development Programme at Dutch National Opera in 2013 and 2015. As a concert soloist, she has given recitals in countries such as Mexico, Australia, Austria, Germany, and the Netherlands. When performing recitals, she enjoys creating connections between music and other disciplines, such as dance and design.
