Jeroen de Vaal
Jeroen de Vaal studied at the Conservatory of Utrecht with Eugenie Ditewig. After following various masterclasses, his career led him to opera houses in the Netherlands and abroad, working with conductors such as Jaap van Zweden, Hartmut Haenchen, William Christie, Ivor Bolton and many others. He also worked with directors such as Pierre Audi, David Bösch and Claus Guth. He is currently coached by Tamar Niamut. Since 2015 Jeroen is the first part-time tenor with the Chorus of Dutch National Opera.
As a concert singer, Jeroen is in high demand and can regularly be heard in J.S. Bach's Passions, the Hohe Messe and the Weihnachtsoratorium. His repertoire also includes oratorio works by Haydn, Mozart, Gounod, Rossini, Puccini and many others. In the field of chamber music Jeroen is often a guest with the vocal ensemble Frommermann. He also regularly gives concerts with song and opera programmes together with soprano Tamar Niamut and pianist Lineke Lever.
