Johanna Dur
Johanna Dur studied at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels with Lode Devos and was then coached for many years by Aafje Heynis. Already at the age of 17 she sang in the BRT radio choir and after five years she joined the Chorus of La Monnaie in Brussels. In 1998 Johanna became a permanent member of the Chorus of Dutch National Opera. As a soloist she performed regularly, both in the Netherlands and abroad. Highlights were performances in the Concertgebouw, Opera de Genève, Opéra Royal de Wallonie and La Monnaie, and during the Bayreuther Festspiele, with conductors such as Marcello Viotti, Armin Jordan and Giuseppe Sinopoli.
Johanna sang in operas such as Die Walküre in Bayreuth and Liège, Götterdammerung in Geneva and Suor Angelica, conducted by Antonio Pappano.
