Jorne van Bergeijk
After his preparatory training with Harry van Berne at the ArtEZ Conservatory in Arnhem, Jorne van Bergeijk started his bachelor’s eductation in classical singing at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. After four years of study with Maria Acda and Frans Fiselier, he was admitted to the master's degree in classical singing. Because of his love for opera, he switched to the Dutch National Opera Academy in 2015, where he continued his studies with Frans Fiselier and Peter Nilsson.
Since 2019 Jorne, after a year as a freelancer, has acquired a permanent position in the Chorus of Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam. Last seasons he also sang in productions of Holland Opera (Het Meermeisje), Opera Zuid (Il barbiere di Siviglia, Un ballo in maschera) and the Nederlandse Reisopera (La traviata). During the 2015-2016 season Jorne sang the role of Le Gendarme Les mamelles de Tirésias as part of the talent development programme of Dutch National Opera & Ballet and Masetto Don Giovanni with the Dutch National Opera Academy.
In addition to his work, Jorne set up 'Touwtjes in Handen', together with two friends with whom he makes improvisation opera.
