Wim Jan van Deuveren
Via the MTS programme in electronics, Wim Jan van Deuveren ended up at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where he studied music registration. There he specialised in the recording technique of especially,choirs and solo singing. In his third year, in addition to music registration, he decided to study singing with Margreet Honig at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. During his training he gained experience as a solo singer with various companies in the Netherlands.
In 1994 Wim Jan auditioned for the extra chorus of Dutch National Opera. For ten years he sang with this chorus several times a year. He combined this work with many productions, including oratorios and operettas, throughout the country. In 2004 Wim Jan was admitted to the permanent Chorus of DNO.
In the years that followed, Wim Jan devoted himself further to studying vocal technique, in particular Italian belcanto. Exploring this became one of his main hobbies. Wim Jan has also been teaching singing lessons for many years.
