Yvonne began singing in choruses at a young age but first completed a psychology degree before pursuing vocal studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, from which she graduated in 2010. She took lessons and masterclasses with esteemed singers like Bernarda Fink, Jard van Nes, and Nelly Miriciociu, and has been coached by Ira Siff since 2012.

Partly during her conservatory studies, Yvonne had the opportunity to sing certain solo opera roles, including Marcellina in Le nozze di Figaro (Resident Artist at Nederlandse Reisopera), Mrs. Herring in Albert Herring, Olga in Onegin, and Ruggiero in Alcina. She also enjoys performing oratorio and art songs, frequently performing as a soloist with choruses and orchestras in various oratorios, from Bach's Matthäus-Passion to Rossini's Petite messe solennelle.

At the Chorus of Dutch National Opera, where she started as a freelancer in 2013, Yvonne combines her passion for theatre and choral singing. Since 2022, she has held a permanent position and has performed solo roles, including Eine Frau in Köningskinder, Edelknabe in Lohengrin, and Seconda Cercatrice in Il trittico.

Yvonne also enjoys producing performances, having created classical music theatre productions for children with her own ensemble.
