Christof Loy

Christof Loy is one of the most sought-after directors of his generation. He has worked at leading opera houses such as Opernhaus Zürich, The Royal Opera House, The Royal Swedish Opera and Theater an der Wien. Loy is also a frequent guest at major international opera festivals: he recently directed Luisa Miller for the Glyndebourne Festival and Così fan tutte, Il trittico and Orfeo ed Euridice for the Salzburger Festspiele. With Dutch National Opera, he previously directed Les vêpres siciliennes, Arabella, Khovanshchina, La forza del destino, Tannhäuser and Königskinder. During the pandemic, he directed his debut film, Springtime in Amsterdam, which was recently released on DVD.
