Darius-Oriol Tamosi
Darius-Oriol Tamosi (Romania) is the son of a gymnast, but after watching his sister’s ballet class at the age of thirteen, he was inspired to start ballet himself. After dancing in Romania for a year, he was accepted at the Conservatório Internacional de Dança Annarella Sanchez in Portugal, where he completed his training.
In 2023, Darius won first place at the Youth America Grand Prix in Paris, in the category ‘classical variation’. In April 2024, at the Youth America Grand Prix in New York, he won first place in the category ‘contemporary pas de deux’ and second place in the category ‘classical pas de deux’.
Darius has a passion for classical ballet and particularly loves performing Romantic ballets. Darius: “I am excited and grateful to be joining Dutch National Ballet’s Junior Company. I am eager to start this new chapter of my life and can’t wait to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity and to make the most of it all.”
