John Murch
John Murch (Birmingham, Alabama, United States) started creative movement classes at the age of three and ballet at the age of eight. After a few years, he was offered a scholarship to train at the school of the Alabama Ballet. During his studies here, John received scholarships to attend the American Ballet Theater Summer Intensives in California and New York, as well as the Boston Ballet Summer Intensive. In 2019, he started his studies at The Rock School in Philadelphia. When he participated in the Youth America Grand Prix in 2021, he placed first in the regional round and made it to the finals of the national competition in Tampa, Florida. That same year, John was offered the opportunity to train at The Royal Ballet School Upper School in London, where he graduated in 2024. While at the Royal Ballet School, he performed with The Royal Ballet in various ballets including, Manon and The Nutcracker. He also joined The Royal Ballet during their tour to Japan, where he danced in Kenneth MacMillan’s Romeo and Juliet.
