Luca Abdel-Nour
Luca Abdel-Nour is a French and Egyptian ballet dancer and was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. He started ballet classes here at the age of 12 at the Premier Ballet Academy and left Cairo at the age of 14 to continue his professional ballet training abroad. He received a scholarship to study at the Hungarian Dance Academy in the 2017-2018 season, where he danced in the annual Nutcracker programme and toured Hungary with his school to perform original works. After training in Budapest for a year, Luca received a scholarship from the Pierino Ambrosoli Foundation to study at Zürich Tanz Akademie, where he began his training in 2018. He danced here for three years and graduated in 2021 with a federal certificate of competence in classical dance. While studying at the Zurich Dance Academy, Luca also participated in the Prix de Lausanne 2021, where he won the second prize as well as the titels of Web Audience Favourite and Best Swiss Candidate Award.
