Rosa Lidia Cabrera Nuesi

Rosa Lidia Cabrera Nuesi was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and began ballet and modern dance at the age of seven at the Escuela Nacional de Danza (Endanza) in her hometown. At twelve years old, she won first prize in the national competition Premios Eladia de Cuello al Ballet Clásico.

After graduating from the Escuela Nacional de Danza, she received a scholarship to further specialize at the ballet academy of the Cuban company Acosta Danza, where she also graduated. During her training in Cuba, she performed in choreographies such as End of Time by Ben Stevenson, Belles Lettres by Justin Peck, and Majísimo by Jorge García.

After graduating, Rosa was accepted into the Ballet Nacional Dominicano under the artistic direction of Stephanie Bauger. Here, she had the opportunity to work with choreographers such as Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, for her pieces Unicorn, Botero, and Agua Viva. In 2025, she joined the Junior Company of Dutch National Ballet.
