Daniil Orlov

Daniil Orlov is a pianist, arranger and composer. He was educated at the Moscow State Conservatory and in the Young Artists programme of the Bolshoi Theatre. He also took part in the training programme of the Opera Studio of the Komische Oper Berlin. In Moscow, he has participated as a musical co-creator in performances in various theatres. Since 2018 he has been working closely with director Kirill Serebrennikov, whom he advises in the field of musical dramaturgy, including in productions of Così fan tutte at Opernhaus Zurich, Nabucco at Staatsoper Hamburg, Parsifal at Wiener Staatsoper and The Nose at Bayerische Staatsoper München. He made his DNO debut with Der Freischütz (2022).
