Esther Mugambi

Esther Mugambi is a Kenyan-Australian performance artist, actor and vocalist based in the Netherlands. She completed her master's in artistic research and performance at DasArts Amsterdam and holds a bachelor's degree in Theatre from the University of Western Sydney and Witwatersrand University, Johannesburg, and a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from the University of Sydney. Her work has been performed at the Springdance Festival, Rozentheater, Melkweg, Zeeburg Theater, KVS (Brussels), Theater Formen (Braunschweig), Amakula Film Festival (Kampala) and at Kaai Studios (Brussels). She performed throughout the Netherlands and Europe with groups such as Rosa Ensemble and Belarus Free Theatre and independent artists such as Sarah van Lamsweerde. She can be seen in Salvador Miranda's film Life Eternal and Alejandro Ramirez' upcoming film sansnam. She was recently seen at Dutch National Opera in Michel van der Aa's Upload, in which she played The Scientist.
