Falk Bauer
Costume designer
German costume designer Falk Bauer has been working freelance for opera and music theatre productions since 1993 after having worked as a costume assistant at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg. He is a frequent collaborator with directors such as Günter Krämer (Der Ring des Nibelungen, Opéra national de Paris; Mitridate, Salzburger Festspiele) and Gil Mehmert (Le nozze di Figaro, Oper Leipzig; West Side Story, Magdeburger Domfestspiele). He has previously created the costume design for Robert Carsen’s Carmen and for the award-winning production of Dialogues des Carmélites which played at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Lyric Opera Chicago, as well as the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden.
