Gregory Albertzoon Shaggy

Gregory Albertzoon - better known as 'Gregory Shaggy' - is a hip-hop dancer and choreographer with a real entrepreneurial spirit. He is most proud of his own foundation Free&Style in Amsterdam-Zuidoost. With it, he gives young dance talent from the neighbourhood the opportunity to train and develop as a teacher. Shaggy also works as a coordinator/teacher of hip-hop at the LMIPA. He teaches his students not only the moves, but also a bit of hip-hop history and culture.

Shaggy has been working full-time as a professional dancer and choreographer for several years now. During his dance education at the ROCvA, he broadened his style and knowledge by doing other styles, such as classical ballet, jazz and modern dance. In addition, he travelled to America several times to be taught by the biggest names in the dance world in Los Angeles. He has also been a member of national theatre productions, including Tanjore Quartet and MDDance, and offers workshops and shows, dance events across the country, both individually and with his crew Furious Flow. In addition to his work as a performing dancer and choreographer, Shaggy is an accomplished teacher. He is currently a teacher and coordinator of Hiphop at the Lucia Martha's dance academy. Shaggy is also in demand as host, mc and juror for dance competitions.
