Hendrik Walther

Hendrik Walther is a multidisciplinary artist and theatre designer. After studying Technical Theater Arts at the Amsterdam School of Arts, he worked for opera, theatre, concerts, performance and dance at Dutch National Opera, Internationaal Theater Amsterdam, Theater Rotterdam, Tryater, Bochumer Symphoniker and Noord Nederlands Toneel. Hendriks work blurs the lines between set-, video-, and light design. He also creates his own autonomous installations, films, and shows. Together with Lisenka Heijboer Castañón, he co-directed the short musical film based on Beethoven’s song cycle An die Ferne (Opera Zuid and Operafront), and was a co-creator and designer of FAUST [working title] at Dutch National Opera.
