Jean Kalman

Since 1979, the French lighting designer Jean Kalman has made designs for innumerable theatre and operaproductions. He has worked a lot with directors Pierre Audi, Robert Carsen, Peter Brook and Hans Peter Cloos. He worked for The Royal Opera House, Teatro alla Scala, Wiener Staatsoper, Opéra national de Paris and The Metropolitan Opera. For Dutch National Opera he worked mostly on productions together with Pierre Audi, which included productions like Guillaume Tell, Gürre-Lieder, Dionysos, and Eurydice – Die Liebenden, blind.
