Johannes Stepanek

Austrian director Johannes Stepanek is a former First Soloist of The Royal Ballet and has worked as an Assistant Director on several productions for The Royal Opera in London. He has assisted Javier De Frutos on Les Enfants Terribles with The Royal Ballet at the Barbican, and assisted Director Barrie Kosky on Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg at the Bayreuth Festival. He worked as Movement Director on Alexander Raskatov’s GerMANIA for Opéra de Lyon. He served as a revival director for opera venues like the Royal Danish Opera, the Royal Opera, the Staatsoper Hamburg, and the Bayerische Staatsoper München.
