Kate Harriman
From a very young age Kate Harriman was on the stage acting, singing and playing violin, piano and percussion. This sparked a lifelong passion to ensure as many people as possible have the opportunity to access a broad range of cultural experiences, both on and off the stage. Kate then started her professional career in the Australian performing arts industry in 1999. Over the 11 years to follow she completed her study in Arts Management at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and worked in ticketing, (digital) marketing and audience development for organisations such as QUT Art Museum, West Australian Symphony Orchestra, Barking Gecko Theatre Company, Brisbane Powerhouse, Queensland Ballet, Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) and Opera Queensland.
Upon moving to The Netherlands in 2010 Kate made the transition to the commercial sector where she developed expertise within ecommerce and data-driven marketing, working with companies such as albelli photo products and STUDIO HENK Dutch Design Furniture. Kate has led Marketing, Communications and Brand departments as well as internal creative studios and since May 2022 has fulfilled the role of Head of Marketing, Communications and Audiences for Dutch National Opera & Ballet.
