Lisa Behensky

Set and costume designer

The Austrian-Italian stage and costume designer Lisa Behensky completed her studies at the University Mozarteum Salzburg. Her recent works as a stage and costume designer include Penelope, an interdisciplinary piece directed by Giulia Giammona, which was awarded the Körber Prize for Young Directors 2024 at the Thalia Theater Hamburg; La Bohème, directed by Andrea Tortosa Baquero at the Gerhart Hauptmann Theater Görlitz; and ICARO by Alessandro Baticci, directed by Alexander Fahima at the Stuttgart State Opera. Other notable works include Les Contes d’Hoffmann and La Clemenza di Tito, both directed by Alexander von Pfeil. Her assistantships and stage design collaborations with Romeo Castellucci have taken her to renowned international venues, including the Salzburg Festival, the Berlin State Opera, the Grand Théâtre de Genève, and the Deutsche Oper am Rhein.
