Michael Mazzola
Since the 1980s, Michael Mazzola’s acclaimed designs have been seen in both the United States and Europe, ranging from opera houses to circus tents and amphitheatres.
Mazzola has served as a resident lighting designer for Oregon Ballet Theatre, the Bebe Miller Company, Steve Paxton & Lisa Nelson, Yoshiko Chuma, Milwaukee Ballet, Nashville Ballet, Aspen/Santa Fe Ballet Company, Trinity Irish Dance Company, and Hubbard Street Dance Company. He also designed for Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, Stuttgarter Ballett, and the Pacific Northwest Ballet, among others. In addition, he designed Stars of the New York City Ballet, a show staged in a garden Mazzola had created specifically for the occasion.
