Nina Spijkers

She is now one of the regular directors at Toneelschuur Producties, where she made her debut in 2015 with a successful production of Phaedra’s Love by Sarah Kane. This was followed in 2016 by a very original version of Schiller’s Don Carlos and in 2017 by an adaptation of Chekhov’s Ivanov. For both productions, she was nominated for the BNG Bank Award for New Theatre Makers, and Ivanov was selected for the National Dutch Theatre Festival 2017. Her new production Geluk premiered earlier this season.
