Peter van Praet
Belgian lighting designer Peter van Praet was lighting director at the Flanders Opera for many years and is a frequent collaborator of director Robert Carsen. Together they have worked more than 15 productions, including The Cunning Little Vixen (Flanders Opera), Tannhäuser, Elektra (both at Paris Opera), Der Rosenkavalier (Salzburger Festspiele), Candide (Teatro alla Scala, English National Opera), Don Giovanni (Teatro alla Scala), The Love for Three Oranges (Deutsche Oper Berlin), and the world premiere production of Giorgio Battistelli’s CO2 (Teatro alla Scala). At Dutch National Opera he was responsible for the lighting design in Cavalleria rusticana, Pagliacci and Carmen (Robert Carsen) and Oedipe (Àlex Ollé).
