Philipp Fürhofer
Set designer
Born in 1982 in Augsburg, Germany, Philipp Fürhofer's multidisciplinary artistic practice combines paintings, sculptures, installations and set designs. His works are characterised by a unique language that combines modern materials with traditional and historical elements, rich with associations that bring the influence and heritage of 19th-century German and Scandinavian romantic painters into a contemporary context. With Dutch National Opera, he previously designed the sets for the Tchaikovsky operas Eugene Onegin and Pique Dame directed by Stefan Herheim.
