Piersandra Di Matteo
Piersandra Di Matteo is an academic, curator and dramaturg. She obtained a PhD in theatre and film studies and currently lectures at the University of Bologna and at Università Iuav in Venice. She is also the curator of the Multidisciplinary Residency at the academy of the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence. She has been the artistic director of the Short Theatre Festival in Rome and the Atlas of Transitions Biennale/ERT in Bologna. Di Matteo has lectured and given seminars at research centres and universities in Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Amsterdam, New York City, Philadelphia, São Paulo and Montreal. As a dramaturg, she has worked with Romeo Castellucci for theatre companies, opera houses and festivals around the world. At Dutch National Opera, she previously collaborated with Castellucci on Hans Werner Henze’s Das Floß der Medusa (2018).
