Scott Gibbons

Composer

Scott Gibbons is an American composer of electro-acoustic music. His work is notable for the rigorous use of single and unexpected objects as the only instrumentation. Examples are the composition Unheard, which exclusively uses sounds recorded at the molecular level, and music commissioned to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the Eiffel Tower, which incorporated sounds made by the building itself. He has collaborated with Romeo Castellucci and his company Socìetas Raffaello Sanzio on various occasions, including on the productions Genesi, Tragedia Endogonidia and Inferno
