Christof Fischesser

German bass Christof Fischesser has appeared at the most prestigious international opera houses, including the Staatsoper Berlin, Opernhaus Zürich, Bayerische Staatsoper München, Teatro Real Madrid, The Royal Opera in London, the Opéra national de Paris and the Salzburg and Aix-en-Provence festivals. Recent highlights include König Marke in Tristan und Isolde (Wiener Staatsoper), Hunding in Die Walküre (Opernhaus Zürich), Gurnemanz in Parsifal (Bayerische Staatsoper), Heinrich der Vogler in Lohengrin (Staatsoper Hamburg), Jacopo Fiesco in Simon Boccanegra (Opernhaus Zürich) and the role of Bluebeard in Bartók's Duke Bluebeard's Castle (Theater Basel). He made his debut at Dutch National Opera last season in the role of Der Baron Ochs auf Lerchenau in Der Rosenkavalier (2023).

• Christof Fischesser will perform the role of the high priest Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte in December 2023 in Dutch National Opera & Ballet.
