James Platt
Bass
The British bass James Platt is acclaimed for the expressiveness of his voice and acting. He has performed in opera houses including Deutsche Oper, ROH Covent Garden and Teatro alla Scala, and at festivals such as Festival d’Aix-en-Provence and Glyndebourne Festival. He has previously worked with conductors such as Sir Mark Elder, Mark Minkowski and Lars Vogt. At Dutch National Opera, he sang the roles of First Soldier in Salome (2017) and Kuno in Der Freischütz (2022).
