Janai Brugger

The American Janai Brugger is one of the most successful lyrical sopranos of today. She sang leading roles in renowned opera houses such as The Metropolitan Opera (New York), The Royal Opera (London) and Los Angeles Opera. Her repertoire consists of roles such as Pamina Die Zauberflöte, Liù Turandot, Musetta La bohème en Micaëla Carmen. In the Dutch National Opera, she was audience favourite during her performances as Servilia in La clemenza di Tito (under the direction of Peter Sellars) and as Clara in Porgy and Bess, (in which she sang the famous song ‘Summertime’). In addition, she was one of the soloists in 2021 Missa in tempore belli.
