Katia Ledoux
The French mezzo-soprano Katia Ledoux studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. In 2022, she received the special Lied Oratorium prize at the 59th Tenor Viñas Contest. She also joined the ensemble of soloists at the Volksoper Wien in 2022, singing roles there such as Orlofsky in Die Fledermaus and recently the title role in Carmen. In addition, she has sung in opera houses including the Zurich Opera House, Staatstheater Kassel and Staatsoper Stuttgart. She recently made her debut at the Royal Opera House as Bersi in Andrea Chénier with Antonio Pappano conducting. At Dutch National Opera, she previously sang Geneviève in Pelléas et Mélisande (2019), Makuba in How Anansi freed the stories of the world (2021) and Proserpine in Euridyce – Die Liebenden, blind (2022).
