The American soprano Leah Hawkins is a rising star in the world of opera. Her repertoire includes roles as the Strawberry Woman in Porgy and Bess, Cizí kněžna (Foreign Princess) in Rusalka, Ariadne in Ariadne auf Naxos, the title role in Tosca, Musetta in La bohème and Louise/Betty in X, the life and times of Malcolm X by Anthony Davis. She has sung in opera houses such as Santa Fe Opera, The Metropolitan Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich and Washington National Opera. This will be her first time singing Giorgetta in Il tabarro and her first performance for our opera house.
