Young Armenian tenor Liparit Avetisyan is steadily building an impressive international opera career. He has sung at the Semperoper Dresden, Royal Opera House London, the Glyndebourne Festival, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Bayerische Staatsoper Munich and Opernhaus Zurich, among others. His repertoire includes roles such as Il Conte d'Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia, Il Duca di Mantova in Rigoletto, Alfredo in La traviata, Rodolfo in La bohème, the title role in Gounod's Faust, Nemorino in L'elisir d'amore and Le Chevalier des Grieux in Massenet's Manon. This, the role of Alfredo in La traviata, is his DNO-debut.
